NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

The NSS wing of the institution has been continuously conducting and participating in the extension activities from the inception of the Unit to inculcate the virtues of social responsibility among the students fraternity. They have been encouraged to participate in various activities conducted by the institution and other government and non- government organizations. To impart the nationalism among them, the volunteers are given a platform to participate in the National festivals conducted in the college campus,  conducted by Bangalore University and also by State and Central Governments.

Govindaraju T, H.O.D, Department of English, has been serving as NSS Officer since 2010 encouraging the volunteers to participate in various activities. Following programmes were conducted for the academic years 2021-22.

ü  Environment Day was celebrated on 6^th June 2021

ü  Vaccination Programme was organised in association with Lion’s Club of PeenyaYeshwanthpur on 26^th July 2021.

ü  Swatch Bharath Abhiyan Programme was conducted on 27th July 2021 at Industrial Estate, 5^th Rajajinagar

ü  Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration was conducted on 2^nd October 2021

ü  Blood Donation camp was conducted in association with Lion’s Club of PeenyaYeshwanthpuron 11^th November 2021 and 115 units of Blood was mobilised

ü  Awareness on Prevention of Crime was organised in association with Magadi Road Police Station on 18^th December 2021.

ü  Vaccination for RPA PU Students was conducted in association with BBMP on 5^th January 2022

ü  73^rd Republic Day celebration was organised on 26^th January 2022.

ü  100 volunteers participated in Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme in association with BBMP Hospital from 27^th February to 2^nd March 2022.

ü  International Women’s Day Celebration was organised on 08^th March 2022. Dr. Sindhu, MBBS, MD spoke on the topic ‘Gender Equality for a Sustainable Tomorrow’.

ü  A Three-Day Camp was conducted at Gorinabele RPES Campus from 22^nd July 2022 to 24^th July 2022.
